Half-Baked Idea of the Day: If It's Better Than Myanmar, It's O.k.
Valleywag is in some sort of counter-lather over assorted sites with readers who are, themselves, in a lather over AT&T’s terms of service, which include the right to pull the plug on people who use their AT&T connection for conduct that “tends to damage the name or reputation of AT&T, or its parents, affiliates and subsidiaries.”
Someone’s jowls were all aquiver as they pecked out a brutal “Poppycock!” before launching into some semi-factual pedantry that all boils down to “It’s much worse in Myanmar. Besides, AT&T isn’t censoring anybody because the First Amendment only covers the government, and people who care about this are zealots and ‘creative copyright’ advocates, anyhow.”
Give the poor things a dictionary and some valium.
